On the Ground Floor

A wonderfully comfortable lounge with internet connected TV and free to use streaming services.  Patio doors leading to the garden, the hot tub and a beautiful evening sunset.

At its centre the fabulous large farmhouse kitchen - warm, welcoming and well equipped where friends and family always seem to gather.  Rangemaster cooker with 6 gas rings, two fan assisted electric ovens a grill and a warming oven, microwave, dishwasher and large american style fridge freezer.  Solid Pitch Pine antique farmhouse table that seats 10 - a great place to eat sit and chat. 
 
Downstairs bedroom with two single beds or a super king size double (as required).


  Ensuite wet room.  Ideal for rinsing children off after a day on the beach.  Heated towel rail, easy access WC and a seat in the shower.  
We can provide a standalone shower chair and a frame for the toilet if there is someone with mobility problems in your party.  Excellent for couples, teenagers or anyone with mobility problems.
Utility room with sink, drainer and quarter turn taps, drying racks, a 9kg washing machine and a large tumble dryer.
Access from the parking area is flat and level with ramped access to the back door.  No step access to the downstairs bedroom, kitchen and ensuite bathroom. The doorways are wide enough for a wheel chair. Voice  activated internet connected TV in the downstairs bedroom with free to use streaming services.
On the First Floor

At the head of the stairs the White Room (king size double) the front Twin Room (two single beds), the Rear Room (three single beds or one single and one super king size double) and the family bathroom.  This bathroom has a full bath, shower, handbasin and WC.  

All bedrooms except the rear bedroom have internet TV's with free to use streaming services


For a place to escape along the corridor is the second (upstairs) lounge with seating for 6, an internet connected TV with free to use streaming services and a BlueRay / DVD player.   Beyond the second lounge the third bathroom with standalone bathroom, walk in shower, handbasin and WC

Single / Double beds / Cot / High Chairs / Stair Gate

The beds in two of the twin rooms (upstairs and downstairs) can be set up as Super King Size double beds or with single beds.  Penrhiw can be set up with any combination ranging from one double bed and seven singles up to four double beds and one single.   We have two full size travel cots which can be set up in any room.  We have two high chairs and a stair gate 

The Garden

The garden is peaceful, secluded and sheltered.  There is a flat lawn, 6 acres of fields to wander in, a wonderful seating area overlooking the valley, a small barbecue and a six person hot tub.  

Hot Tub - located to take full advantage of the views over the valley and to catch the setting sun is a lovely place to relax whatever the weather, a wonderful place to be.

Heating and Hot Water

Penrhiw has full central heating heated provided by a wood pellet boiler in the outhouse, the kitchen is heated by electric wall heaters (the walls are too thick to get the pipework to it!).  Hot water is also provided by the wood pellet boiler and there's an immersion heater as a back up.  

There's a payphone in the kitchen, mobile reception is good  

We provide a starter pack of barbecue charcoal for the barbecue.  We will leave you instructions on how to use the hot tub and there are outside taps at the front and rear of the house with hoses so you can wash down before entering the house or packing up your car.

Bedding is included but we don't provide tea towels, soap or towels!

Internet and TV’s

There are Sony internet connected TV’s in all bedrooms except the rear bedroom and in both lounges with free to use Netflix, Amazon Prime, Paramount+ and Apple TV streaming services.  Each TV has a chromecast attached allowing you to cast TV, video or pictures direct from your phone or tablet.

All rooms have voice activated Google Home Mini’s with free to use Spotify Premium allowing you to stream radio answer questions or tell you jokes.   There's also a Google Home Hub in the kitchen which can also stream videos and pictures.  They can all act as Bluetooth speakers so you can play music or stream radio from your phone.

The WiFi is free to use with good coverage in the house and garden
